Free GDS Training Simulator: Master Advanced Airline Ticketing Commands

The travel and aviation industry relies heavily on Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus, Sabre, and Galileo to manage flight bookings, pricing, and ticketing. However, gaining practical experience on these platforms can be challenging. Real-world systems are unforgiving; a single mistake can result in costly Agency Debit Memos (ADMs) or unintended seat deductions.

To solve this problem, we created the Free GDS Training Simulator, a powerful, risk-free environment designed specifically for travel industry students, aspiring ticketing agents, and aviation enthusiasts. This tool provides a secure, lightning-fast, and realistic terminal to practice generating auto-sorted Passenger Name Records (PNRs), handling mandatory elements, dynamic pricing, and issuing virtual e-tickets directly from your browser.

⚠️ Important Disclaimer: For Training Purposes Only

Please be aware that this tool is strictly an educational simulator built exclusively for training and learning. It is NOT connected to Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, or any live airline booking engine. You cannot book real flights, and no real money is involved. All flights, availability, PNR codes, E-Ticket numbers, rules, and prices generated within this terminal are 100% fictional. It serves as a safe sandbox for agents to build muscle memory without any real-world risks.

Why Use Our GDS Training Simulator?
Our simulator is built to closely mimic the strict logic and formatting of professional GDS software, offering an unmatched educational experience.

  • 100% Risk-Free Practice: Make mistakes, cancel lines, and experiment with complex pricing commands (like FXP and FXB) without any financial consequences or real-world impact.
  • Authentic PNR Auto-Sorting: Just like real systems, our simulator automatically sequences and numbers your PNR entries upon saving (ER), placing names, segments, contacts, and tickets in their proper hierarchy.
  • Realistic Ticketing Elements: Issue tickets using TTP and watch the system generate the authentic FA PAX lines with 13-digit E-Ticket numbers. You can even practice the refund process (TRF).
  • Strict Local Processing for Privacy: We prioritize your data security. The simulator runs 100% locally within your browser. No inputs, PNR codes, or training logs are ever uploaded to external servers.
  • Save and Resume: Use the built-in Export/Import features to download your training sessions as .txt files, allowing you to pick up exactly where you left off.

Key Commands You Can Master
Our simulator supports a comprehensive suite of commands essential for mastering airline ticketing:
  • Availability & Booking: Search global flights (AN), easily book round trips (AC), and sell specific cabin classes (SS).
  • Passenger Details: Input names (NM1), agency contacts (ACR), standard contacts (AP/APM/APE), and crucial APIS/Passport information (SRDOCS).
  • Pricing & Ticketing: Dynamically price itineraries (FXP), utilize Best Buy logic for cheaper fares (FXB), and finalize bookings with ticketing elements (TKOK) and form of payment (FP).
  • Advanced Management: Delete specific lines flawlessly using the XE command (e.g., XE1.1, XE3), ignore workspaces (IG), and retrieve saved records (RT).

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Is this simulator connected to the real Amadeus system?
No. This tool is strictly an educational simulator designed for practice. All flights, PNR codes, ticket numbers, and prices generated are entirely fictional and have no connection to live airline inventory.

Why did my booked flight start with an "HN" status instead of "HK"?
This is a realistic feature! When you initially sell a seat (using the SS command), the status is often Holding Need (HN). Once you add the ticketing arrangement (e.g., TKOK), our system simulates sending confirmation to the airline, automatically updating your segment status to Holding Confirmed (HK).

How does the XE command work in this simulator?
Our simulator uses an advanced mapping engine. Once you organize your PNR (using ER or IR), the system numbers your entries (e.g., Names are 1.1, Segments are 2, Contacts are 3). To cancel an element, simply type XE followed by the exact line number shown on your screen (e.g., XE1.1 to cancel a name, or XE3 to cancel line 3).

Can I delete an issued ticket (FA PAX line)?
No, and this is by design. Once a ticket is issued and the FA PAX line is generated, standard GDS rules prevent it from being deleted via the XE command. You must use the proper refund command (TRF) to change the ticket status to 'RFND'.

Are my training records saved online?
Absolutely not. To ensure maximum trust and speed, all processing occurs locally. Your saved PNRs live in your browser's local cache. You can use the Export button to save your work securely to your device.
